There are 31 exceptional candidates remaining in the running to become the next Miss Universe Philippines 2026. This year, the field is exceptionally strong and whoever wins is poised to give the Philippines a very strong presence at the 75th Miss Universe Pageant in Puerto Rico. Also, any of the women chosen for the other franchises will undoubtedly be going in as favourites. The remaining 31 candidates competing for the Miss Universe Philippines 2026 title took the stage in the Bench Swimwear Preliminary. I felt that most of the candidates performed better in swimsuit than gown but 8 really got my attention:  8: Cebu City - Apriel Smith  I did not feel it as much as the Aqua Boracay swimsuit show but she is still good. I hope to that she goes back to the Boracay styling.  7: Laguna - Ysabel Prats  My biggest surprise - she was great here and I see a lot of potential.  6: Taguig - Bella Ysmael  Solid performance but I am starting to see others turning up the heat even more.  5: Baguio City - Roxie Bayens  She was sizzling in swimsuit and holding steady in the competition.  4: Muntinlupa - Adela Mae Marshall  It's a pity she has aged out for Miss World but this girl is really growing on me.  3: Cebu Province - Nicole Borromeo  That's more like it.  It's time for Miss USA 2026 and with a new organization at the helm, it's safe to say the new Miss USA will have a fantastic reign. The current queen, Audrey Eckert from Nebraska has been consistently working and traveling. So if that is only in the transition year, imagine what a fabulous reign the new queen will have. That being said, here are some candidates on my wish list for Miss USA 2026:  Kaliegh Garris: Miss Teen USA 2019 (Connecticut)  Kaliegh Garris made history with the first back to back win by an African American at Miss USA. She is still active in modeling and would make a great Miss USA.  Ki'ilani Arruda - Miss Teen USA 2020 (Hawaii)  A breath of fresh air but since her Instagram account is private, there's not much about her at the moment. Stil I would love to see her return to compete for Miss USA.  Breanna Miles - Miss Teen USA 2021 (Florida)  Her crowning moment as Miss Teen USA was iconic and she is still looking amazing.   Miss Lagos, Damilola Bolarinde, was crowned Face of Hope / Miss International Nigeria 2026. She was crowned by the outgoing queen with the reigning Miss International, Catalina Duque from Colombia and 1st runner-up and Miss International Africa, Yollanda Chimbarami in attendance.  The 25 year old model and actress will represent Nigeria at the Miss International Pageant this November in Tokyo, Japan. 

The new Miss World Tanzania is Latricia Ian. The 24 year old beauty bested 19 other delegates to win the right to represent Tanzania at the 75th anniversary of Miss World this August and September in Vietnam.  The first runner-up was Nouru Mamour and the second runner-up was Paulina Allute. The top 5 were completed by Silya Mussa (4th place) and Diana Rutagalinda. 

  The candidates vying to compete for the Miss Universe Philippines 2026 title took to the stage in their glamorous gowns to impress the selection committee with the hope of advancing in the competition that will have its final on May 2nd. Here are Eye For Beauty's 10 Tantalising Gown Performances: 10: Muntinlupa: Adela-Mae Marshall  While many candidates appeared to walk in gowns that made it hard to move without apparent effort and used exaggerated gestures during the performance, I appreciated Adela-Mae's because her gown was quite flowy and she delivered a clean and polished performance. Perhaps safe, but it worked for now.  9: Tarlac: Marian Arellano  She looked stunning but some of her facial expressions came across as slightly unnatural and her walk still needs to be a bit more polished but she stood out.  8: Manila - Justine Felizarta  Justine looked elegant but powerful in her hot pink ballgown.   21 year old Ellie Corcoran was crowned Miss Wales 2026 this past weekend and will represent Wales at Miss World 2027 that might happen in Tanzania. She is currently working in the technology industry and supports young people in carving the right path by helping them with their career development plans.  Grace Gavigan finished in second place. The top 5 were completed by Romilly Evans Powell, Brooke O'Neill and Ellie Tudor. 

   22 year old Elisabeth Reynes, representing the Balearic Islands, was crowned Miss World Spain 2026. The  hotel management student will represent Spain at the 73rd Miss World Festival in Vietnam this August and September. The first runner-up was Miss Comunidad Valenciana, Maria Amespi, and Miss Tenerife, Carla Castro.  Dana Bombardo from Barcelona and Alexia Hernandez who represented Canarias completed the top 5. 35 candidates were vying for this year's Miss World Spain title. 

  Gorgeous Sadhvi Sail from Goa was crowned the 61st Femina Miss India last night. She defeated 29 other candidates to win the right to represent India at the 74 Miss World Festival in 2027. Her runner-up was Maharashtra's Rajnandini Pawar while Sree Advaita from the Union Territories finished in third place.  Completing the top 8 were the candidates from Gujarat (Paranaaz Cooper),  Himachal Pradesh (Shreya Thakur), Madhya Pradesh (Dhanushree Chauhan), Punjab (Yashika Sharma) and Rajasthan (Tarushree Rai).  The new Miss India is a model and entrepreneur who describes herself as easy-going but driven. She described her win as surreal and thanked the organizers for the beautiful and the opportunity they were given to participate in the competition after her win. 

 Thirty five aspirants will take to the stage to compete for the Miss World Spain 2026 title. The winner will represent Spain at Miss World 2026 in Vietnam. Who will be Spain's hope at Miss World this year?  Thirty aspirants will take to the state to compete for the coveted Femina Miss India 2026 title. The winner will represent India at Miss World 2027 which might be in Tanzania. Who will be the one selected?
