Miss Universe Philippines 2026: Eye For Beauty's Most Memorable Introduction Videos

This is a great year for the Miss Universe Philippines fans because the lineup is absolutely stellar and while there has already been an elimination and another one is pending in the new format, certain favourites are holding steady and some fresh faces are making a great impact. 

The introduction videos were interesting because it was hard to tell if the candidates had to follow a set of directives or if they were given freedom. If so, some really missed the missed the mark because a good introduction video should make the candidate stand out by making you remember her more or love her more. 

Here are my favourite introduction videos: 

6: Samar Island: Catherine Wardle 


I am amazed by this girl and her potential. Yes, she is just going to get better and better and I hope she makes it far in this competition. But to be this good at this young age, just bodes well for her future. 

5: Negros Occidental: Alex Colmenares 

I was hooked from the start because there was a memorable hook before it led into a MU opening vibe (San Juan 2001,2002) and then she did a great job promoting her province, which looks amazing. 

4: Muntinlupa: Adela Mae Marshall 


She looked incredible, had a nice hook and nice ending, it was a slick video but I would have loved to have learned something more about her. But she did a great job promoting her city. 

3: Cebu Province: Nicole Borromeo


Loved the 24 hour angle and that she tied her store into her province - they are interwoven. Very smart. 

2: Cavite: Jensel Manansala Cana 

Immediate thoughts: Energy, enthusiasm, joy and a province that looks like you MUST visit! 

1: La Union: Bea Millan-Windorski 

For me this is everything an introduction should be - energy, content and you get to know so much about the person and the place. Loved it!

THE WARMEST: Zozi blew me away because she was the warmest and  most naturally charasmatic reigning Miss Universe I met The Beauty of How a Moment Can Last a Lifetime  I remember the first time I "saw" a pageant. The year was 1987. The channel was TV1 if memory serves me and I only got a brief glimpse of something that caught my attention immediately and left such a huge impression that it still remains with me to this day. It was the first ever (I found out later) live broadcast of Miss South Africa and I could only take in something that spoke to me for probably less than a couple of minutes before the sitter changed the channel. But it STUCK and ended become perhaps the greatest love of my life.  A MOMENT IN TIME: The year was 1987,  I don't remember much  but I  remember a few glimpses of the middle of the show and  I can still see it so clearly. Why Pageants Became the Love of My Life - A Celebration of Strength

 PREVIOUSLY:  Prologue IF I COULD TURN BACK TIME: It is a pity that hindsight is sometimes the  best teacher but pageants represented what I saw in my mother when I was   young and the good things I wanted for her!  Hindsight is such a wonderful thing - beautiful, sweet, inspirational but also usually a bit painful without the extreme sting of the deep, overwhelming hurt that you might have felt at the time. I find people who say that you should just look ahead a bit misguided because, you see, without hindsight there can be no reflection.
