From MGI to ... Eye on You: Montserrat Villalva - Mexico

The Miss Grand International 2025 Competition had a really high calibre of delegates. There are several stunner sthat did not win the crown that I think would do well in other competitions. So, it's time to celebrate a few of these women whom I would like to give it another shot. We continue with an incredible woman who made it to the top 10:

Montserrat Villalva - Mexico 

Montserrat is absolutely stunning and she slayed the Miss Grand International Pageant. I ended up having her as my number 1 choice to win Miss Grand. Her beauty is captivating and she seems like a really nice person too. For me, she looked like a queen every day of the Miss Grand International Pageant. 


I was quite surprised that she did not make it to the top 5 but that means she can now hopefully enter other pageants because I would love to see her again, so let's look at the systems she could do well in. 


1. Miss Mexico: I would love for her to try the Miss Mexico system because I think she would be great for any of their franchises. She has the kind of beauty and presence that could be good in any system. 

2. Miss Universe: She would be so good at Miss Universe but I don't know if this competition is fair because it seems like the license holder is quite a character and I am being kind. 

3. Miss International: Since she was sent to Miss Grand by Lupita Jones, she could easily also send her to Miss International.

Why Pageants Became the Love of My Life - PROLOGUE

THE WARMEST: Zozi blew me away because she was the warmest and  most naturally charasmatic reigning Miss Universe I met The Beauty of How a Moment Can Last a Lifetime  I remember the first time I "saw" a pageant. The year was 1987. The channel was TV1 if memory serves me and I only got a brief glimpse of something that caught my attention immediately and left such a huge impression that it still remains with me to this day. It was the first ever (I found out later) live broadcast of Miss South Africa and I could only take in something that spoke to me for probably less than a couple of minutes before the sitter changed the channel. But it STUCK and ended become perhaps the greatest love of my life.  A MOMENT IN TIME: The year was 1987,  I don't remember much  but I  remember a few glimpses of the middle of the show and  I can still see it so clearly. Why Pageants Became the Love of My Life - A Celebration of Strength

 PREVIOUSLY:  Prologue IF I COULD TURN BACK TIME: It is a pity that hindsight is sometimes the  best teacher but pageants represented what I saw in my mother when I was   young and the good things I wanted for her!  Hindsight is such a wonderful thing - beautiful, sweet, inspirational but also usually a bit painful without the extreme sting of the deep, overwhelming hurt that you might have felt at the time. I find people who say that you should just look ahead a bit misguided because, you see, without hindsight there can be no reflection.
