From MGI to... Eye on You: Ana Sofia Lendl - Guatemala

The Miss Grand International 2025 Competition had a really high calibre of delegates. There are several stunner that did not win the crown that I think would do well in other competitions. So, it's time to celebrate a few of these women whom I would like to give it another shot. We continue with: 



Ana-Sofia Lendl - Guatemala 

When I first saw photos of this stunner from Guatemala, I was blown away. At the same time, I was also curious to see if she could live up to pre-Grand hype. She did and, in fact, she was better than the hype. This girl is such a beauty and I was very sure that she would make the top 5. But she ended up in the top 10. 



The good thing is that now she can use the experience she gained and prepare for a different pageant if she still wants to. I would absolutely love to see her in another pageant because I think she is worthy of an international title. Here are my choices for her: 

1. Miss Universe: With her beauty and stage presence, I think she could give Guatemala an excellent placement at Miss Universe. I would love to see her there. 

2. Miss Cosmo: This is another system in which I think she will do exceptionally well. She could be the first Latina winner of Miss Cosmo. 


It was so nice to see Guatemala doing well and I really do hope Ana-Sofia is not done with the world of pageants!

THE WARMEST: Zozi blew me away because she was the warmest and  most naturally charasmatic reigning Miss Universe I met The Beauty of How a Moment Can Last a Lifetime  I remember the first time I "saw" a pageant. The year was 1987. The channel was TV1 if memory serves me and I only got a brief glimpse of something that caught my attention immediately and left such a huge impression that it still remains with me to this day. It was the first ever (I found out later) live broadcast of Miss South Africa and I could only take in something that spoke to me for probably less than a couple of minutes before the sitter changed the channel. But it STUCK and ended become perhaps the greatest love of my life.  A MOMENT IN TIME: The year was 1987,  I don't remember much  but I  remember a few glimpses of the middle of the show and  I can still see it so clearly. Why Pageants Became the Love of My Life - A Celebration of Strength

 PREVIOUSLY:  Prologue IF I COULD TURN BACK TIME: It is a pity that hindsight is sometimes the  best teacher but pageants represented what I saw in my mother when I was   young and the good things I wanted for her!  Hindsight is such a wonderful thing - beautiful, sweet, inspirational but also usually a bit painful without the extreme sting of the deep, overwhelming hurt that you might have felt at the time. I find people who say that you should just look ahead a bit misguided because, you see, without hindsight there can be no reflection.
