From Poland to... Eye on You: Krysta Heath

In this series, I will highlight some candidates who competed at the pageant organization I used to work for. Now this one is tricky because I was lucky enough to interact with most of the candidates (not in person because of my personal choice) but I met some around the world and interacted with many of them online too. I am biased and I found all the girls I encountered so special and will always support them in their future endeavours. Because I am doing it for other pageants, I shall do it for this one too. Let's begin with: 

Krysta Heath - Australia 

When I saw Krysta's crowning photos, video and social media accounts, I told myself: Oh my goodness what a stunner! And then I read her profile and I was so impressed with her work and the fact that she was really a woman with such substance. On top of that, Krysta was so present from the moment she was added to the Whatsapp group and was always one of the first candidates to complete a task in the run-up to Poland. That made her a pleasure to work with. 


Since she was due to arrive in Warsaw, she asked for advice about how to get to Krakow and I had such a lovely phone call with her. She blew me away with her warmth, charm and the sunshine in her voice. I hold her in the very highest regard and would love to see her at another pageant. Here's the one I suggest... 

Miss Cosmo: My first choice for Krysta would have been Miss World and I am really sad that she didn't get the chance to go to Miss World, so my next best bet for her (since Miss Universe is a total mess!) is Miss Cosmo. Just like this year's winner of the Impactful Beauty Award (Cassia Sharpley from Namibia who I got to guide a little bit), Krysta is in my mind, at least, the true definition of an impactful beauty. So this would be my choice for this incredible young woman.

Why Pageants Became the Love of My Life - PROLOGUE

THE WARMEST: Zozi blew me away because she was the warmest and  most naturally charasmatic reigning Miss Universe I met The Beauty of How a Moment Can Last a Lifetime  I remember the first time I "saw" a pageant. The year was 1987. The channel was TV1 if memory serves me and I only got a brief glimpse of something that caught my attention immediately and left such a huge impression that it still remains with me to this day. It was the first ever (I found out later) live broadcast of Miss South Africa and I could only take in something that spoke to me for probably less than a couple of minutes before the sitter changed the channel. But it STUCK and ended become perhaps the greatest love of my life.  A MOMENT IN TIME: The year was 1987,  I don't remember much  but I  remember a few glimpses of the middle of the show and  I can still see it so clearly. Why Pageants Became the Love of My Life - A Celebration of Strength

 PREVIOUSLY:  Prologue IF I COULD TURN BACK TIME: It is a pity that hindsight is sometimes the  best teacher but pageants represented what I saw in my mother when I was   young and the good things I wanted for her!  Hindsight is such a wonderful thing - beautiful, sweet, inspirational but also usually a bit painful without the extreme sting of the deep, overwhelming hurt that you might have felt at the time. I find people who say that you should just look ahead a bit misguided because, you see, without hindsight there can be no reflection.
