Women Who Made Me Proud in 2025: Luisa Victoria Malz - Miss Charm 2025 1st Runner-Up
One of the things I love the most is to see the women I have met along the way keep going, keep shining and keep evolving because when one door closes, there are 10 others waiting to be opened. I had the pleasure of spending almost three weeks with an incredible young woman named Luisa Victoria Malz. What I observed was a young woman who has a beautiful spirit - a team player, a leader, a woman who is always ready to work and to help. She was always the first to act as translator . When the job interviews happened, minus the Panel of Experts, she probably spent the most time in the interview room. Above all, I saw a young woman with such a bright light - a beautiful soul who has the drive, the ambition and the wisdom to serve, to lead and to inspire. I loved spending time with her and my personal opinion was that she should have gone further than the placement she got. (I had no voice.)
One of the worst parts of the job (because I REALLY care) was seeing her heartbreak after the pageant. I felt it very deeply. These young women put in so much, only for a few people to decide their fate. I always told the candidates the final night is the part I dreaded. However, what I admire the most is that she showed her heartbreak and then she still knew she loved pageants. And she went back and worked even harder and came back.
And now I am so very proud that she is officially the 1st runner-up of Miss Charm 2025. What a great achievement for her and for Germany, a non-sash country. Should she ever read this, I do want to say this to her:
Luisa, you are one of the loveliest and most caring souls I came across during my 7 years. So many crossed my path and there are some who truly stood out and you are one of them. I am so incredibly proud of you and I will always be cheering you on. If I remember correctly, you are only 22 now. You are so incredibly strong and I am so proud to watch you get better and better. There's also this voice inside me that keeps telling me to tell you... there's still 1 or 2 more in you. Whether it's the 'Cosmo' or the "Universe" telling me this, I need to say it: The Best is Yet to Come!
But for now, what you achieved at Miss Charm was fantastic and you blew me away! So very, very proud of you!
