From MGI to... Eye On You: Vina Sitorus- Indonesia

The Miss Grand International 2025 Competition had a really high calibre of delegates. There are several stunner that did not win the crown that I think would do well in other competitions. So, it's time to celebrate a few of these women whom I would like to give it another shot. We continue with a candidate that placed in the top 22: 



Vina Sitorus- Indonesia

The absolutely gorgeous Vina Sitorus from Indonesia was one of  my personal favourites to win the Miss Grand International title. I was in awe of how she showed up every day and how she consistently perfored well. So, basically she was in my opinion a frontrunner. 



On the night of the final, Vina advanced to the top 22 and gave her a very strong performance. However, that is where the Miss Grand road ended. Hopefully that doesn't mean her pageant days are over. I think she is so beautiful and it would be amazing to see her again. Here are the pageants I would like her to try. 



Miss Universe: Vina could potentially give Indonesia their highest placement at Miss Universe. She already has the stage presence and if she works on the delivery of her answers,  she will be as good as gold. 

Miss Cosmo: Vina would also be perfectly suited for Miss Cosmo. So if she is willing to go through the Puteri Indonesia pageant, then I would love to see her at Miss Cosmo.

THE WARMEST: Zozi blew me away because she was the warmest and  most naturally charasmatic reigning Miss Universe I met The Beauty of How a Moment Can Last a Lifetime  I remember the first time I "saw" a pageant. The year was 1987. The channel was TV1 if memory serves me and I only got a brief glimpse of something that caught my attention immediately and left such a huge impression that it still remains with me to this day. It was the first ever (I found out later) live broadcast of Miss South Africa and I could only take in something that spoke to me for probably less than a couple of minutes before the sitter changed the channel. Why Pageants Became the Love of My Life - A Celebration of Strength

 PREVIOUSLY:  Prologue IF I COULD TURN BACK TIME: It is a pity that hindsight is sometimes the  best teacher but pageants represented what I saw in my mother when I was   young and the good things I wanted for her!  Hindsight is such a wonderful thing - beautiful, sweet, inspirational but also usually a bit painful without the extreme sting of the deep, overwhelming hurt that you might have felt at the time. I find people who say that you should just look ahead a bit misguided because, you see, without hindsight there can be no reflection.
